- Pour 2 tbsp lemon juice onto a plate, and mix sugar and SALDORO pink ancient salt onto a second plate. Dip the glass rims in the lemon juice first, then in the salt mixture.
- Wash the basil, shake dry and remove the leaves. Put 10-12 basil leaves in a shaker with the sugar syrup and grind with a rod. Add the remaining lemon juice, gin and 6 ice cubes and shake well.
- Place ice cubes in the glasses and pour the gin basil mash through a fine sieve into the glasses. Garnish with the remaining basil to serve.
You can also omit the salt rim and grind the basil with the sugar syrup and one pinch of salt instead. Don’t grind too long, or the cocktail will lose its fresh herbal aroma!
